A complete change in direction

You may have noticed that, as of today, this website has changed…

And that’s because – as of today – we’re postponing activity that involves looking for sponsors, investors or donations to raise £48,000 by Valentine’s day 2010 to fund a new dating site. We’re now gearing up to go down a completely new path…

We had a meeting last week with the team who have optioned the film and TV rights for AreYouMyWife, and they have proposed a whole new concept that will take AreYouMyPartner in exciting new directions to achieve our goal: pass the torch and create a whole new dating experience.

There are a few more creative and strategy meetings to be had in the coming weeks as we set up the new venture, and as soon as there is news, I’ll make the announcement on this site.

Exciting times ahead….

A deal just signed, now a break

Some happy news: The AreYouMyWife story has just been optioned to be shopped around as a feature film! The ink just dried on the agreement, so we’ll see if in the next few years this pans out into a full blown film or TV series – very exciting end to 2009, and a great start for this project!

On the AreYouMyPartner front, this past month has seen some great meetings and interest from potential investors, with some follow-up (as well as new) meetings lined up in early 2010.  We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has given us positive vibes since we launched this site in November, and we look forward to the new year to bring this project home!

Meetings and more meetings…

Where does the time go? The past two weeks I’ve had lots of meetings, conference calls and emails about this project, and it remains to see what turns into slow burns, and what becomes hot leads. However one challenge is the time of year: its getting real close to holiday season, so some people seem to be deferring decisisons until 2010. Oh well, gives them a chance to think More soon…
